Project Based Learning Modeled by Common Craft

I have been an active fan of Common Craft for so long because they master the art of storytelling so effectively. I always show these videos to my students as a way to introduce new topics. Once again, Common Craft shines because they contrast well the traditional classroom experience with PBL learning. And they explicate the core “C” skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication, quite well. Did you notice the science teacher’s computer screen in the video? It displayed the Buck Institute for Education “BIE,” http://www.bie.org/, and this site is extremely valuable for first time as well as experienced educators charting PBL waters.  Also be sure to bookmark: http://www.commoncraft.com/ and find them on YouTube.
